My first painting for 2025

Just a few days before Christmas we took a three-day family trip to the mountains of Arcadia in the Peloponnese. Dense green forests, valleys, snow capped mountains, good food, wine and the occasional hike were just what we needed after the death of my father in the beginning of December. Unfortunately being with loved ones all day long, left me with no time to sit and paint out in the open (en plein air), but I did manage to snap a few photographs with my phone cam.

After returning home, I reviewed all the pictures I took and found one that captured the the perfect lighting conditions I often strive for in my paintings. So, on January 3rd, I decided to put brush to board and here is what came out!
