On the corner of Lycabettus and Solonos streets, stands a gorgeous office building erected sometime in the 1930’s. It is now beautifully refurbished and houses law and notary offices. The ground floor is occupied by one of the oldest art dealerships of Athens. The owner, Mr. Michalakakos, has been around for many years. Some time ago I got the chance to visit him. After browsing at some of the most beautiful framed artwork I have seen, I sat down for a friendly chat. The stories that poured out of him spanned over six decades of Athenian life. It was an inspiring afternoon.
